ATRA Praises Longtime California Ally, John Sullivan
Former CJAC President Courageously Fought But Lost Battle with Cancer
The American Tort Reform Association today offered condolences to the family and colleagues of a longtime tort reform ally in California, John H. Sullivan, who lost a courageous battle with cancer last week at the age of 73.
“All of us at ATRA were deeply saddened to learn about the recent death of our intrepid ally and friend, John Sullivan,” said ATRA president Tiger Joyce.
“In addition to serving as president of the Civil Justice Association of California for many years, John also served on ATRA’s board of directors from 2001 to 2006, offering invaluable insights and leadership,” Joyce continued, “and he was tireless in helping and supporting his fellow legal reform advocates all across the country until his retirement in 2010.
“We at ATRA extend our condolences and sincere best wishes to John’s wife, Kathy, their children, Megan and Brendan, and everyone else who will miss our friend as we will.”
